From Jack:

Shall you forever wander through green pastures and fields, And sleep in the cool and grassy glades, We will always remember the greatness your name yields, As we recall great warriors who have broken many blades. Never to forget the meaning your name doth hold, |

"Somewhere...somewhere in time's own space
There must be some sweet pastured place Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow Some Paradise where horses go. For by the love that guides my pen |
Up came the young Centaur-colts from the plains they were
fathered in-- Curious, awkward, afraid. Burrs on their hocks and their tails, they were branded and gathered in Mobs and run up to the yard to be made. Greener than grass, but full-ripe for their bridling and lungings, And repaid at top-speed; till the order to halt without slowing |

Don't mourn for me
Dear owner, kind and true. I know that you will miss me As I will also think of you. We shared so many secrets; those you whispered in my ear. I've kept those secrets for you lest any one would hear. And in return you've kept me from being turned out in the cold. You've fed, watered, & cared for me while we both grew old. But God had called & needs me; He says that it is time I claim that sweet reward in a kinder, greener clime. He promises sweeter clover, clear water, rich and pure I'll never have to suffer from wounds that humans cannot cure. I'll romp and play all day with others he has called hither. I'll have so many new friends that will scratch upon my wither. I'll be watching out for you |
Don't cry for the horses That life has set free A million white horses forever to be Don't cry for the horses Now in God's hands As they dance and they prance To a heavenly band. They were ours as a gift Do you hear that soft nicker written by Brenda Riley-Seymore |

What an inspiration he has been to so many people. O, the heartache. Not that you could ever replace Thor but Dusty is too talented not to continue.

We all loved Thor and admired the oneness that Dusty and Thor shared. I believe with all my heart that animals have souls, and I believe they go to heaven. It may not be very comforting to think of right now, but Thor was so blessed during his life to have been part of your loving family just as you were blessed to have him.
I pray that in time you can all think of him without so much pain, and that you can remember and celebrate your extraordinary relationship with such an extraordinary soul.
with love,
Betty & Keith
Thor was the most beautiful and honest horse imaginable. He was such a gentle and wonderful friend for your family.
You can take some solace in the fact that he had the best life any horse could ever want for after you chose him to be a part of your family

I love the pictures that Anneke sent in the newsletter, He was magnificent- I am sure He was well loved and cared for by you all and He knew you loved him deeply- I hope with each day, the sadness in your hearts will get smaller.
Love and prayers,

We will keep you in our prayers and again I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss.

My heart goes out to you at your time of loss.
Your Thor was a beautiful horse. I too just lost
a beloved friend and can really feel your pain.
May he run free in the lush fields of Heaven and
may he buck for pure joy. Sincerely, Karen Lucia
Hello Dusty,
I'm so sorry about Thor. He was an amazing animal and the relationship you had with him was incredible. How he knew what you needed, and where to be, before you even asked may seem irreplaceable, but please know that you can have that relationship again with another horse.
Give your heart time to heal, search with great care and trust yourself to know when you've found the right one. For when you find him, you won't compare him to Thor, but rather see and feel glimpses of Thor as you ride or joust.
Nicole
Dear Dusty,
I am so sorry to hear about Thor. He is probably thundering somewhere in heaven and definitely in your heart. He was a wonder to see at the Expo.

Bobbie: My very sincere condolences on the loss of Thor for all of
you and for Dusty, especially. I have loved receiving their pictures
for The Friesian and so many of those Anneke showed in the memorial
are ones I have had cross my desk as I work on the mag. What a
heartbreak....

Our family also mourns for your family. What a terrible thing to happen. Our horses , as our many animals, are like our children. When we lose one, the loss is so terrible. I still cry sometimes over one that has been sent to heaven years ago. We know the pain and heart ache that your family is going through. We had the pleasure of being around Thor, Dusty and Bobbie at the expo and know how special Thor was. Once again, our deepest sorrow. Linda, Grant and Bre Dorsett Icon Ranch. (www.iconranch.com)
I am so sorry, Dusty-God Bless You and Thor - Diane Franke
I am writing this in tears. I am so sorry about Thor. I was there at the Texas demo with another Friesian owner. I am the owner of a Friesian Gelding and can only imagine what you are feeling. I have told so many people about Dusty and Thor, and how they galloped into the arena in full armor carrying the Friesian flag. What a beautiful sight!
You all are in our prayers. He was a great horse and will always be remembered by all of us. Janell Haynie, Claremore, OK
I have so very many fond memories of Thor as does everyone else. I am glad though that I was givin the chance to work with him and get to know Thor so very well.
Stephanie
I am so sorry, I saw you at the equine fair in texas this year and I loved you!

We will miss the thundering that he gave our hearts every time he made a pass.
Dusty, I hope that you find another steed that will serve as faithfully and as magnificently as Thor did. Good luck and God’s speed.

You could tell that Thor actually enjoyed the attention and the compitition at the fair. He will be missed by all.

We also are so saddened to hear this. Thor was indeed magnificent and he will be missed by all.

Thor will live on in our hearts as the horse by which all others are measured.
Love,

The joust will never be the same; Thor deserved his name sake and truely was a god among horses. It is sad to think that the stars that burn brightest, burn fastest.
Kim
There was something special about the Thor and Dusty team that made them unbeatable. I have said several times that when they made a pass it was as if they shared the same heart beat. I cant imagine the loss...

I just now heard the news and am devastated. Thor was more than just a horse. I hate that I didn't get to spend more time with him;
though, the short time that I did spend with him was so special and will always be remembered. His ebony coat against the lush grass of
the field, with his head held high is an unforgettable sight. He had such a wonderful spirit. Ana still talks about her "Pollo"
and "Tor", and any black horse she sees is Thor to her. There is, I'm sure, nothing I can say to help alleviate your sorrow. Just
know that you all are in our prayers and his spirit will live through all of the people he has touched.
-Shirlee
I will always remember Thor on the joust field, his excitement emanating out as he prepared for his turn, the ground pounding under
his hooves as he stormed by. To Thor the joust wasn't just something he did, it was something that he loved, and you could feel
it radiating off of him every single time. My memory, too, turns to my 3 year old daughter Anastasia, and her excitement every time she
saw "her Tor" or "her Pollo" take the field. I remember the smile on her face when she got to meet them and have her picture taken.
To this day she still asks about "Tor" and "Pollo". I can't imagine what it's going to be like to tell her that Thor won't be there next
time, that Thor moved onto a better place. Words escape me right now, as I am still very much in shock. All I can say is this:
Thor's excitement and personality changed the lives of everyone that was near him, even us spectators in the stands. He will be forever
missed. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in this hard time.
-Jason
Thor now runs with the other warriors of the steppes in a happier place.
